Samagra Properties — Real Estate Platform

How we helped a traditional offline real estate business reach a wider audience by building a fully-featured listing platform with buy, rent, and subscription features — turning property sales into a scalable digital business.

THE CHALLENGE

Samagra was doing property sales the traditional way — through relationships, referrals, and local networks. It was working, but the ceiling was low. They wanted to reach more buyers and landlords without proportionally increasing the sales team. The answer was a platform that could do the reach for them.

THE OUTCOME

Property sales increased by bringing the inventory online and making it searchable. The subscription model created a new revenue stream — buyers pay to access full property details — which grew independently of transaction volume. The platform is built to expand to new regions without a rebuild.

The problem

Samagra was a real estate business built on local knowledge and personal relationships. That worked — but it meant growth was tied to the size of the team and the geographic reach of individual agents. They couldn't reach buyers or landlords outside their immediate network, and every new region would mean hiring more people.

  • All property discovery was offline — no searchable inventory
  • Buyers and landlords outside the local network couldn't be reached
  • Revenue depended entirely on transaction commissions
  • No infrastructure to scale to new cities or regions

What we built

We built a full real estate listing platform with separate flows for buyers, renters, and property sellers — with a subscription layer that turns the platform into its own revenue stream.

  • Property listings for buy, rent, and builder projects
  • Search and filter by location, type, price, and features
  • Free listing for property owners and landlords
  • Subscription-based access for buyers to view full property details and contact information
  • Verified builder project management for new developments
  • User accounts with saved searches and enquiry history

The subscription model

One of the key decisions was the access model: listings are free to post, but buyers pay a subscription to view full details and get in touch with sellers. This creates a revenue stream that doesn't depend on any individual sale closing — the platform earns from buyer intent, not just from completed transactions. It also incentivises quality listings, since sellers want their properties to be seen.

The outcome

Samagra went from a locally-bounded, relationship-driven business to one with a searchable online inventory and a platform that can reach buyers anywhere. Property sales increased as inventory became discoverable. The subscription model added income that scales independently of how many deals close. And the architecture is built to expand to new regions — new geographies are a configuration change, not a rebuild.
